A Great Attitude Will Take You Places….
Last night, while waiting for Michael Phelps to swim, we watched 43 year old Dara Torres win her first silver medal. What a race!
One of the reporters asked her what she will tell her two year old daughter about this event (assuming that the daughter won’t remember witnessing it) and Dara said….”You don’t have to put an age limit to your dreams!”
Now that’s the truth! You are never too young or two old to dream dreams and reach toward acheiving them. What are some of your dreams?

Hi Martin,
I, too, was impressed by what Dana was able to accomplish! One of my dreams was never going back to school for another degree after getting my M. Div. many years ago. Imagine my surprise when I was attending a professional growth event at Gallup University in May of 2007– Gallup announced a new partnership with Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN) in offering a D. Min. in Gallup Strengths and Church Leadership. When this was announced, God reached down and grabbed my heart and said, “You need to do this!”.
So, last month, I started a new faith adventure attending classes and working on class projects. The main instructor is Al Winseman, author of the book, Living Your Strengths.
Where is this going to lead me? I don’t know! I’m just taking one step at a time. What I can say is that my current ministry assignment is greatly benefiting from the reading. The books, Simple Church, The Forgotten Ways, The Tipping Point, and Leadership and Self-Deception have changed my thinking in dealing congregations as a CLT.
